My jewellery is inspired by the exotic parts of the world to which I travel, when gathering the beads and amulets that are incorporated into each piece.  Upon my return, I design and string them together in a colourful and eclectic mix.  I use glass (often recycled), ceramic, bone, wood, semi-precious stone, silver and bronze beads.   Every necklace is unique, and many of the components have been used and traded time and again throughout the last century, sometimes longer.  
I have a passion for colour, working with it in different fields all my life.  Creating this ethnic jewellery seems not only to satisfy my need to play with colour and beautiful shapes, but also my yearning to travel, and my magpie like desire to collect.
