I make parchment table lamps, wall lamps, pendant shades and exquisite strings of fairy lights.
My designs are inspired by the beauty and simplicity of nature. They are created by a process of cutting, layering, laminating, and then adding light.
I love the way the light works with the paper, accentuating the crisp lines and peeping through the tiny pinpricks. When I’m designing, I use a translucent cutting mat on a light table. Cutting into the paper is like drawing with light and is very satisfying.
I live in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, where I run ‘Radiance’, a craft gallery specialising in designer/maker lighting. Here, I have my whole range permanently on display and also have my workshop on-site.
