Maika runs a small creative studio in Hastings recycling high-quality furnishing fabrics into limited edition deluxe household textile and accessories, which are both handy and beautiful. Her label Angels & Violets has been steadily gaining momentum, stocking in shops in Hastings, Brighton, London and Hamburg. With a website coming up soon (www.shop.angelsandviolets.co.uk) and regular appearances at Open Houses, this label is going from strength to strength, adding to a portfolio including children’s clothes (olive clothing), illustration work (www.whiskillustration.co.uk) and fashion, having been one half of the organising team of the FRONT ROW Ethical Fashion Show 2008 and creator of Paper Couture).
