CLAUDIA RIVERS-BLAND
I have been print-making for over 20 years. I have been influenced by a variety of subjects and themes which is why my work has so many different styles and subject matter.
The main thread that runs through all my prints is an interest in colour and pattern. My later work has become more abstract and developed from a desire to layer colours and texture together, to create a rich surface.
I use Silk-screen and Lino as my main printing methods because I can interlink these techniques and use the printing methods more like a painter, so that each print is a ‘one off’ rather than part of an edition.
I live in Brighton and work as an Art teacher in London
