Molly Perrin - Jewellery
Molly Perrin is an award winning Jewellery Designer, she says about her work:
"I use precious metals in my work for a sense of perpetuity. Small scale silversmithing and box making investigate. Surfaces are alive- worn, fragmented and cracked to reflect the way we remember.
The patterns on the top of these pendants are beautiful and ambiguous and are impressions of familiar old objects; ornate frames, door fixtures and spoons. This language of nostalgia works as an aide-memoire, inspiring different narratives.
Pendants have drawers for keeping a memento, based on hidden compartments in cabinets and bureaux. Rings have escutcheons for you too peep through. This exploration encourages an intimate interaction between the wearer and the object."
This will be the Brighton premier of Molly’s work. Please visit her website for more information.
